This is the official blog for the independent feature film Old Fashioned.

Log-line: A former frat boy and a free-spirited woman that together attempt the impossible: An “old-fashioned” courtship in contemporary America.

Genre: Romantic drama.

Rating: This film is currently undergoing the rating process.  It will likely be rated PG or PG-13 for thematic material.  The film has no coarse language, nudity, or serious violence.

Old Fashioned will release in select theatres nationwide on Valentine’s Day weekend 2015.  This is the same weekend that the film adaptation of Fifty Shades of Grey opens, putting us in a head-to-head, David v. Goliath battle with that cultural juggernaut.

Tyndale House Publishers is also releasing two books in connection with this film:

Old Fashioned (novelization) by Rene Gutteridge.

The Old Fashioned Way: Reclaiming the Lost Art of Romance (devotional) by Ginger Kolbaba.

The eBook versions of both books are currently available via a wide variety of online retailers and paperback copies will release in stores (and online) in January 2015.

Both books are based on the screenplay for Old Fashioned which was written by the film’s director, Rik Swartzwelder.
